English - Talk for Writing
We use talk for writing in English to teach writing, using various fiction and non-fiction texts. This process goes through several stages, enabling children to imitate the language they need for a particular topic orally, before reading and analysing it, and then writing their own version.
English - Reading
We use VIPERS in reading lessons and our current book is The Girl Who Stole an Elephant by Nizrana Farook.

This term, we are focusing on decimals and fractions.
Project - Does slavery still exist?
This half term our topic is History and we will be focusing on the Victorians.

Science
In Science, our topic is Electricity and our big question is ' How has electricity changed the way we live? '
Things to remember...
Reading diaries will be checked on a Monday. Read 3-5 times each week to receive your Dojo points.
Maths homework will be sent out each Friday and is to be completed by the following Thursday.
Spelling and handwriting homework will be sent out each Friday and is to be completed by the following Thursday.
Forest school will be every Friday afternoon and PE will be every Monday afternoon this half term.
Scott class are doing gymnastics this half term and Aderin-Pocock class are doing cricket.
