  • Severn Trent Water Assembly

Mon 31 Oct 2022 Jill Warren

We would like to say a big thankyou to Leanne from Severn Trent Water, who came into school on Friday 21st October to talk to the children about drinking water, and how to reduce plastic waste so it does not get into our water supply.

If your child came home and shared their learning with you, we would be very grateful if you could complete this survey for Severn Trent: https://forms.office.com/r/NNkXppUU9q

Leanne's talk fitted in really well with our assemblies on respecting our environment.

After the holidays, our School Eco Warriors will be sharing our whole school action plans and what we are all planning to do to reduce plastic use at school and at home.

  • Y5/6 boys play Area Football Finals

Fri 14 Oct 2022 Jill Warren

Our Y5/6 boys 7-a-side football team did brilliantly to make it to the Area Football finals, which were held at Highfields School in Matlock.

The boys played really well with 3 draws and two clean sheets in their group games against much taller opposition, but were unfortunately knocked out on goal difference. They should be very proud of themselves!

  • Y5/6 Tag Rugby finals

Wed 12 Oct 2022 Jill Warren

Our Y5/6 tag rugby team took on Crich Juniors in the final of the Sports Partnership competition yesterday afternoon. The match ended in a draw, 2:2, and they also played a friendly where the 2 schools mixed their teams together. Well played everybody!

  • Y3/4 Multisports Event at Anthony Gell

Wed 12 Oct 2022 Jill Warren

A lucky group of our Year 3 and 4 students took part in a Multisports event at Anthony Gell school yesterday, organised by the Sports Partnership. Ably assisted by Mrs Cooke, the group got to try their hands at archery, dodgeball and Quidditch (minus broomsticks!)

Well done for taking part everyone.
