I have lived in Wirksworth for 8 years and I wanted to become involved with the local community.

My background is as a children and families social worker for over 30 years , I am still a practitioner and voice of the child led.

I have held various roles in management and teaching including being a principal social worker.

I have also been a foster carer and parent.

I believe the skills from my various roles will support the school’s activities and management to the benefit of staff and pupils. 

I want all children to have a good education that helps them meet their potential and will aim to ensure this happens as a  governor at your school.
