Journeys of Destiny
Y5/6 children at Wirksworth Junior School have been offered a very exciting opportunity to take part in a performance of “Journeys of Destiny” which recently had it’s world premiere at Derby Theatre. The performance will be part of the Altitude young people’s festival of music and art at the Eco Centre on Saturday 14th September.
Our Y5/6 children will be participating in a workshop with actors and performers on Friday afternoon in school time. For up to 30 children who would like to take part in the performance on Saturday, there will then be a 90 minute rehearsal from 3.45pm - 5.15pm in the school hall.
On Saturday 14 Sept there will be a rehearsal with actors and children under the canopy at the Eco Centre at 10am - 12 noon. The Altitude Festival starts at 12 noon, and the Journeys of Destiny performance takes place from 2.30pm - 3pm.
If your child can commit to attending the rehearsal after school on Friday, and the Saturday rehearsal and performance, and would like to take part in the performance, please complete and return the slip below to the office.
Places are limited, and will be allocated on a first come first served basis, so please get your signed permission slip back asap.
Yours sincerely,
Mrs Webb
Headteacher.
I give my permission for my child
