Anti-Stigma Training
‘Anti-Stigma Ambassador Training’.
On Tuesday 12th November, Mrs Whiteley and Mr Bunting took 6 children to take part in the Anti-Stigma Ambassador Training at Ripley Academy.
This role is about giving pupils responsibility in school to take action to reduce stigma around Mental Health. The campaign which is part of the Derbyshire and Derby Future in Mind Transformation programme aims to remove barriers and operate as a preventative approach in reducing stigma and its effects.
What are the campaign messages?
Let’s normalise talking about mental health.
Mental health is as important as physical health.
Look after each other.
Speak to someone about how you are feeling.
Let’s use the ‘5 Ways to Wellbeing’.
Be a mate – Make a difference.
