Classes Year 3/4 2022/2023
Our Classes and Teachers
Attenborough Class - Miss Booth
Earle Class - Mrs Cooke
English - Talk for Writing
We use talk for writing in English to teach writing, using various fiction and non-fiction texts. This process goes through several stages, enabling children to imitate the language they need for a particular topic orally, before reading and analysing it, and then writing their own version.
Our texts for the Autumn term are :
Tree Giants - Non Chronological Report
Poppy, Waldo and the Giant - Meeting Tale
How to Trap a Stone Giant - Instructions
English - Reading
We use VIPERS in reading lessons and our current book is The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe by C. S. Lewis.
Please use this document when you read with your children at home.
This half-term, we are focusing on place value.
Project - Is there freedom in the arts?
This term our topic is Art and Music. We will be looking into artists such as Van Gogh and Picasso, and musicians such as Mozart and Wagner.
