Classes Year 3/4 2022/2023
Our Classes and Teachers
Attenborough Class - Miss Booth
Earle Class - Mrs Cooke
English - Talk for Writing
We use talk for writing in English to teach writing, using various fiction and non-fiction texts. This process goes through several stages, enabling children to imitate the language they need for a particular topic orally, before reading and analysing it, and then writing their own version.
Our texts for the Spring term are:
How to trap a Stone Giant (Instructions)
Violent Volcano (News report)
English - Reading
We use VIPERS in reading lessons and our current book is Ice Palace by Robert Swindells.
Please use this document when you read with your children at home.
Maths
This term, we are focusing on multiplication and division.
Project - How do natural disasters lead to change?
This term our topic is Geography and D&T. We will be looking into natural disasters such as volcanoes and earthquakes and in D&T we will be making cranes and pulleys.
